Co-Founder

Susie Garvin

Susie Garvin is the Co-Founder and a Principal at Trusted Trading Group, bringing more than 30 years of executive leadership experience and deep industry expertise to the global beverage alcohol market. She is widely respected for her strategic insight, industry relationships, and ability to drive sustainable growth through long-term partnerships with distilleries and brand owners.

Prior to co-founding Trusted Trading Group, Susie held senior commercial leadership roles across the spirits industry, including Chief Commercial Officer at Brindiamo Group. Earlier in her career, she served in leadership positions at MGP Ingredients and as VP of Contract Sales at Bardstown Bourbon Company, where she managed key industry relationships and played a central role in expanding partnerships across the whiskey sector.

Susie previously spent nearly a decade as Director of Sales at Green River Distilling Company (formerly Terressentia Corporation). During her tenure, she led significant sales growth, supported expansion into new markets, and served as a key member of the executive management team. Her customer-focused approach and commercial leadership were instrumental in the company’s long-term success.

At Trusted Trading Group, Susie applies her comprehensive understanding of the whiskey and bulk spirits markets to help clients navigate an evolving global landscape. Known for her collaborative leadership style and forward-looking market perspective, she plays a central role in ensuring Trusted Trading Group delivers trusted, high-quality solutions rooted in transparency, experience, and partnership.

Co-Founder

James Hewlette

James Hewlette is the Co-Founder and a Principal of Trusted Trading Group. With more than 15 years of industry experience, James works closely with distilleries, brand owners, barrel owners, and strategic partners to align high-quality liquid supply with commercial and growth objectives.

Prior to co-founding Trusted Trading Group, James held senior sales and commercial leadership roles at Brindiamo Group, MGP Ingredients, Inc., and Green River Distilling Company (formerly Terressentia Corporation). Throughout his career, he has led global sales initiatives, managed international customer relationships, and overseen all aspects of the sales cycle, including liquid sourcing, distillery partnerships, business development, brand development, and market expansion.

James is recognized for his relationship-driven approach and deep understanding of the bulk spirits marketplace, built on years of working across domestic and international markets. He brings a pragmatic, partner-first mindset to every engagement, focused on trust, transparency, and long-term value creation.

James holds a Bachelor of Science in Human and Organizational Development, with a minor in Economics, from Vanderbilt University, and a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development from Clemson University. He resides in Charleston, South Carolina, with his family, where he enjoys sailing in the harbor, entertaining friends and family, and exploring the city’s vibrant culinary scene.
